Lucy Spahr is a documentary filmmaker and video journalist from Chicago, IL focused on untold human interest stories.
She co-directed, filmed an edited an upcoming documentary BINDINGS (2025) about a family craft business and navigating adulthood with autism.
She contributed research to the documentary feature THE ACT OF DREAMING (2024) for Ark Media about families in their first year living in the United States. The film is currently entering festival distribution. She also supported projects including SEEN AND HEARD (HBO) and CTRL+ALT+DESIRE (Paramount+).
Lucy edited and produced a series of digital shorts across themes of politics and culture that have been published in Katie Couric Media (2022).
She received a BA in Modern Culture & Media with honors from Brown University and an MS in Documentary Filmmaking from Columbia Graduate School of Journalism.
She lives in Brooklyn, NY.
